Our goals can be summarized in the following: Moving people out of homelessness and into a higher level of self-sufficiency and independence; and providing resources for essential needs, such as food, shelter, and clothing. Our mission is to provide essential services to families, adults, and children who lack basic resources to sustain themselves within our community.
Valley Restart is in desperate need of volunteers that can help with our mission.
Volunteers are the life-blood of Valley Restart and to our daily operations. Volunteers with compassion who donate their time, knowledge, and experience are the people who help empower the homeless men, women, and children in the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley area.
Each hour of service a volunteer performs is worth $10.00 to the Restart Center. This is money that is used to keep the utilities turned on and running, as well as keeping the program functioning.
The needs of the Valley Restart Center are many and diverse and include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide stability for a family by volunteering to sponsor them. You can sponsor a family of three for as little as $45 a day.
- Individuals and organizations can volunteer to assist us with fundraisers.
- You can volunteer to adopt a room at Valley Restart. The room may require decorating by adding a new coating of paint or purchasing furniture.
- We need volunteers with clerical skills to work as file clerks, answering telephones, assisting administration personnel, and a myriad of other tasks.
If you would like to volunteer, Valley Restart can use your skills!
